Jean Cocteau, born 5 July 1889 at Maisons-Laffitte , died 11 October 1963 at Milly-la-Foret is a French poet , multi-talented artist, designer , cartoonist, playwright but filmmaker.
He was elected to the French Academy in 1955.
As one of the artists who gave their time, he coasted most of those that drove the artistic life of his time.
